Healthy Kids Programs is hiring a Part-time Pre-K Childcare Assistant for the Before and After School Program at Beekman Elementary School in Poughquag, NY for the 2026–2027 school year. The role runs within the school day and offers employer-paid childcare benefits, with programs operating mornings and/or afternoons.

The position requires a High School Diploma or equivalent or 1 year of child experience, health clearance, and a positive, reliable, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, per state regulations.
• Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children.

Responsabilités

• Facilitate hands-on activities following the Healthy Kids Curriculum, including fitness, STEAM, academics, art, and homework completion.
• Provide a safe, healthy, and fun environment and serve as a positive role model for children.
• Observe state guidelines, program policies, and host school rules.
• Support program operations, including attendance, registration, and staffing tasks.

LOCATION: Beekman Elementary School in Poughquag, NY

PAY RATE: $16.00 per hour

SCHEDULE: Follows the school calendar

Morning Program: 6:30 AM - 9:15 AM

Afternoon Program: 2:15 PM - 6:30 PM

Opportunities may be available for morning, afternoon, or both programs.

Requirements

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma or equivalent, OR at least 1 year of experience working with children under the age of 13.
• Required health clearance, including TB screening, in accordance with state regulations.
• Must demonstrate a positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and reliability.
• Physically able to bend, stretch, lift, and carry up to 50 pounds while actively engaging with children throughout the day.
