Job summary

Battle Ground Academy's Early Learning Center in Franklin, Tennessee seeks an Associate Teacher to partner with the lead teacher in Pre-K classrooms, assist with lesson planning, prepare materials, and lead activities when needed.

You will supervise lunch and recess, support social-emotional development, help with routines, and communicate with families while upholding the school's mission to ignite curiosity, intellect, and character through joyful, collaborative learning.

Qualifications

• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Enthusiasm, creativity, and initiative in solving problems.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a classroom team.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.

Responsibilities

• Assist the lead teacher with lesson planning and preparation, and lead small-group instruction.
• Support daily routines and programming, facilitating activities for varied learners.
• Provide one-on-one support and help with social-emotional development.
• Serve as substitute for the lead teacher as needed.
• Supervise students during classroom time, recess, and lunch.
• Communicate with families and colleagues; assist with records.
• Assist with morning care, materials prep, and other duties.
• Uphold the school's mission and maintain professional standards.
