Requirements

You Might Be the Perfect Fit if You:

  • Can pass a background check, possess a High School Diploma, and hold at least one of the following: a Technical Certificate in early childhood education, a Specialist degree or PhD, a Paraprofessional Certificate issued by GaPSC, a Master's degree, a Georgia teacher certificate, a CDA credential, or a Bachelor's/Associate degree.
  • Have genuine empathy and understanding of children's needs.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Are flexible and adaptable.
  • Can meet the physical demands of working with children.

Your Role as a Pre-K Assistant Teacher:

Assist the GA Pre-K Lead Teacher in overseeing classroom activities, adhering to GA Dept of Early Care and Learning standards, and aligning with the GA Pre-K Curriculum. You will help create a nurturing environment, support learning experiences across developmental domains, observe and assess children's progress, and help tailor curriculum to individual needs. Your role is vital in guiding young learners toward a future full of possibilities.
