Uncommon Schools in New York City is seeking a Pre-K Teacher to cultivate a love for learning from the start. Our classrooms are designed for curiosity, achievement, respect, and CARE, with teaching teams led by a lead and apprentice teacher.

You will co-teach, support literacy and math, use centers and small-group instruction, and meet weekly with your director to analyze student work and differentiate instruction, all within a nurturing urban education setting.

Responsibilities

• You’ll co-teach and build an engaging classroom environment that encourages mastery and exploration.
• You’ll co-teach literacy, mathematics, science, and social studies; support centers and small groups.
• Meet weekly with the director to analyze trends in student work and differentiate instruction.
• Collaborate with instructional coach and team to achieve academic goals.
• Support classroom culture and family engagement throughout the school day.
• Participate in weekly school-wide meetings and practice-based professional development.
