Job summary

Fall River Public Schools seeks a Pre-K 1:1 Paraprofessional for Special Education at the Early Learning Center.

The role involves assisting in instruction and supervision of students, and collaborating with teachers and staff in curriculum-related activities. Candidates should relate well to students and adults, and meet NCLB qualifications or have an Associates Degree or Para Pro certification.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or Para Pro certification required.
• Ability to relate well with students and adults.
• NCLB qualified (Para Pro or equivalent).

Responsibilities

• Relate well with students and adults.
• Be generally responsible to the curriculum supervisor.
• Participate in staff development workshops, training sessions, meetings, and/or other activities organized by the curriculum supervisor, or the program director.
• Be directly responsible to the teacher for activities related to instruction and program implementation.
• Assist and work under the supervision of the teacher in: Providing individualized instructional services; Preparing instructional materials; Organizing instructional areas.
• Be responsible to school principals for non-instructional duties that fall within guidelines; Participate in program evaluations and needs assessment procedures.
