Job summary

Bloom Consulting seeks a Pre-ETS Trainer to deliver targeted instruction at Klein Oak High School. You will provide individual and small-group instruction to students with disabilities during scheduled times and collaborate with teachers to support inclusive learning.

You must maintain safety, complete required forms, track attendance, and manage curriculum materials as part of a structured school-year program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two years’ experience with students with disabilities or 60 college credits.
• Ability to interact with small groups of students.
• Effective spoken and written communication.
• Proficiency with basic computer tools (email, calendars, spreadsheets).

Responsibilities

• Provide individual and small-group instruction to students with disabilities.
• Interact with teachers and students professionally and respectfully.
• Ensure student and staff safety during service delivery.
• Complete state-required forms and maintain attendance records daily.
• Manage materials and track program data using cloud-based systems.

Education

SCHOOL LOCATION & SCHEDULE

Pre-ETS services will be provided at Klein Oak High School.

Days Needed:

Tuesday and Thursday

Service Times:

• 11:23 AM–12:24 PM
• 12:55 PM–1:37 PM

Applicants must have consistent availability for both service times every Tuesday and Thursday.

TEACHING & INSTRUCTION

Pre-ETS (Pre-Employment Transition Services) brings practical life-skill application to students with disabilities ages 16–22.

• Provide individual and small-group instruction to students with disabilities.
• Interact with teachers and students in a professional manner.
• Ensure the safety of students and staff at all times during service delivery.

ADMINISTRATION

• Complete basic state-required forms in a timely manner.
• Use and update electronic and paper-based data systems.
• Use cloud-based technology on personal computers, tablets, and mobile devices.
• Track attendance for each service daily.
• Maintain materials provided by Bloom Consulting for school-year service use.

PLANNING

• Work independently and collaboratively when planning curriculum.
• Follow the provided curriculum and seek approval for any changes.
• Communicate students’ needs to your supervisor.
• Maintain receipts for clients and providers.
• Review paperwork to ensure completion and accuracy.

EXPERIENCE

Your areas of knowledge and expertise that matter most for this role:

• You have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• You have two years of experience working with students with disabilities OR 60 hours of college credit in special education, specific disabilities, social work, counseling, business, or a related field.
• You are comfortable interacting with small groups of students.
• You can communicate effectively in both spoken and written form.
• You are proficient in basic computer skills, including email, spreadsheets, and calendars.
• You consistently meet recurring deadlines.
• You have reliable transportation and are able to travel to the assigned school location as required.
