Job summary

Crusoe is seeking a People Operations Manager, Pre-Employment Programs, to own pre-employment checks from offer to Day 1. You will manage vendor relationships, orchestrate screenings, and design auditable processes to scale as Crusoe grows. This onsite role is based in San Francisco, CA, reporting into People Operations.

You will partner with Compliance, Legal, and Recruiting to ensure compliant, efficient checks and a seamless candidate experience across DOT and non-DOT populations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
• 5+ years in People or Recruiting Operations or compliance.
• Experience administering background checks or drug testing programs.
• Familiar with ATS/HRIS systems (Ashby, Rippling).

Responsibilities

• Vendor relationship management of background check and drug testing vendors.
• Orchestrate all pre-employment screening with Recruiting Ops and Immigration.
• Administer pre-employment background checks and DOT/non-DOT testing programs.
• Design and document end-to-end pre-employment processes with a clear RACI.
• Partner with Compliance and Legal on adjudication and recordkeeping.
• Bridge Recruiting and Onboarding to ensure seamless handoffs.
• Create training materials for Recruiting, People Ops, and hiring managers.
• Monitor turnaround times and candidate experience to drive improvements.
