Job summary

Samet Corporation in Greensboro, NC (and other NC offices) is seeking a Pre-Construction Project Manager across levels. You’ll coordinate design services, develop cost estimates, run value engineering, and manage the design and bidding process to turn ideas and budgets into fundable projects.

From estimating through client presentations and turnover, you own the preconstruction experience and mentor the team delivering it.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or related field.
• Experience in preconstruction, estimating, or design coordination appropriate to the level.
• Proficiency in estimating software (MC², Sage) and BIM technologies.
• Experience developing CPM schedules in Primavera or similar.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate conceptual, preliminary, and contract cost estimates using estimating software.
• Perform take-offs and surveys, maintain historical cost data for future estimates.
• Develop life-cycle cost analyses and value engineering studies for MEP systems.
• Lead preparation of preconstruction proposals and negotiate professional service agreements.
• Develop conceptual budgets and CPM schedules, monitor design schedules against milestones.
• Coordinate bidder solicitation and ensure market coverage.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers for constructability and code compliance.
