Jobot is seeking a Preconstruction Manager in Morton, IL to lead comprehensive preconstruction services for large-scale healthcare projects. You will drive estimating, scheduling, value engineering, and risk management while collaborating with owners, architects, and operations.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in construction/preconstruction, strong reading of contract documents, and expertise with OST/Destini, Revit, AutoCAD or similar tools. On-site role with robust benefits and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; bachelor’s preferred.
• 3+ years of hands-on construction/preconstruction experience.
• Ability to read and interpret contract documents, drawings and specs.
• Proficiency with quantity takeoff software (OST, Destini or similar).
• Experience with design software (Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD).
• Bluebeam proficiency; bidding software experience (Building Connected, iSqFt).
• Ability to prepare conceptual estimates from historical data.

What You'll Do:

• Provide comprehensive preconstruction services including estimating, scheduling, value engineering, and risk management
• Lead bid solicitation and subcontractor outreach and procurement
• Research market conditions, historical cost data, material pricing, and labor rates

• Conduct detailed reviews of design plans and specifications across a range of institutional projects
• Develop variance summaries between estimates and value engineering studies throughout preconstruction
• Collaborate cross-functionally with owners, architects, and the operations team to deliver accurate, competitive budgets

What You Bring:

Required:

• Associate's degree
• 3+ years of hands-on construction and preconstruction experience
• Experience reading and interpreting contract documents, drawings, and specifications
• Proficiency with quantity takeoff software (OST, Destini, or similar)
• Experience with design software (Revit, SketchUp, AutoCAD) for preconstruction
• Bluebeam proficiency
• Experience with bidding software (Building Connected, iSqFt, or similar)

• Solid Microsoft Office skills
