Pre-Construction Manager:

Summary:

Are you a seasoned construction professional looking for more than just the next project? As our Pre-Construction Manager, you’ll lead the front end of high-impact commercial projects, driving the estimation process from conceptual design through CMAR and design-build delivery. You’ll work hand-in-hand with business development and operations to align client vision with smart, accurate, and competitive solutions.

This role isn’t about chasing volume — it’s about building with intention, backed by the resources and support of a company that respects your experience, time, and life outside of work.

Key Performance Indicators:

  • Consultative Communication – Conceptualization, Design Build, Managing Owner Relationships, ETC.
  • Advanced Analytical Skill – Identify Owner Needs, Prioritize Value Engineering, Recommend Adequate Construction Technology, ETC.
  • Team Collaboration- Cooperation with Business Development, Customer/Owner and Construction/Sub-Contractor Teams to Ensure Success, ETC.
  • Attention to DetailThorough review of Plans and Specifications, Accurate Quantifications, ETC.
  • Leadership – Mentor and Support Estimating and Business Development teams utilizing advanced estimating techniques and software tools, ETC.
  • Timeliness – Efficient Turnaround on Estimates, Meeting Deadlines, Managing Time and Resources, ETC.

Fundamental Job Requirements:

  • Proven and adequate experience with Design Build Estimation or Project Management in a commercial construction environment (10 yrs preferred).
  • Experience with Design Build, CMAR and Building Conceptualization with Customer.
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong understanding of up-to-date building technology.
  • Ability to manage and grow multiple relationships with owners, subs, and vendors.
  • Proficiency in estimating tools and software (Plan Swift, Building Connected, Excel, ETC.)
  • Demonstrated initiative and self-start capacity, including proactive initiation of priority tasks, independent work following collaboration and delivery of valuable contribution.
  • A College degree in an associated field is preferred.
