Job summary

Mueller Water Products is seeking a motivated Pre-Apprentice Welder for our Kimball facility in Tennessee. You will learn welding, assist in fabrication, and work under the supervision of experienced welders to develop core skills in fabrication and welding.

The program emphasizes safety, reading blueprints, and following quality procedures while you complete school-based instruction and on‑the‑job training.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in High School Manufacturing Practicum, with at least a junior standing.
• Must be registered as a Pre-Apprentice with the appropriate state entity.
• Must have completed school-sponsored OSHA 10 safety certificate.

Responsibilities

• Learn in coordination with high school instruction to assist Welders in fabrication and welding.
• Read blueprints and weld symbols, understand procedures and material documents.
• Assist in full-cycle fabrication under supervision of a qualified Welder.
• Maintain safety and cleanliness in the work area.
• Document production and quality logs as part of Welder training.
