Skillforce is seeking motivated individuals to start a career in the electrical trade through an entry-level Pre-Apprentice Electrician program in Frederick, MD. The role begins with structured training that can lead to a permanent position and a fully sponsored apprenticeship.

Location: Frederick, MD (Training) with assignments in Montgomery County, DC, and Northern Virginia. Pay is $17/hour with a 6-month temp-to-hire timeline. Start date is November 16th, with new classes every two weeks.

Skillforce is seeking motivated individuals interested in launching a career in the electrical trade with one of the region's leading electrical contractors. This entry-level Pre-Apprentice Electrician opportunity is designed for candidates with little to no electrical experience who are eager to learn, develop hands‑on skills, and build a long‑term career.This is a structured training program that can lead to a permanent position and a fully sponsored electrical apprenticeship.

Location: Frederick, MD (Training) with project assignments throughout Montgomery County, DC, and Northern Virginia
Pay:$17/hour
Schedule: Full-Time, Monday-Friday (Overtime may be available)
Duration: 6-Month Temp-to-Hire Opportunity
Next Start Date: November 16th (New classes begin every two weeks)

What You'll Do

During your first 1-3 months, you'll work in at a shop in Frederick, MD, learning the fundamentals of electrical construction, including:

• Basic electrical theory and trade knowledge
• Material identification and organization
• Tool usage and safety practices
• Prefabrication of electrical assemblies and components
• Jobsite readiness and construction best practices

Once you've demonstrated readiness, you'll transition to active commercial construction projects as an Electrical Helper, assisting experienced electricians with:

• Installing conduit, cable, and electrical systems
• Pulling wire and setting electrical devices
• Material handling and jobsite organization
• Following safety procedures and company standards
• Supporting commercial electrical installations on large-scale projects
