Inpatient/Outpatient: 20% Inpatient, 80% Outpatient

Case Load: 100% Adult Population

Position Overview:

Henry Ford Health is seeking a full-time Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our dedicated pre- and post-operative team supporting Cath Lab, Electrophysiology (EP), and Interventional Radiology (IR) patients. This is a Monday–Friday position with no weekend responsibilities. One year of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is preferred.

The ideal candidate will play a key role in managing pre- and post-procedural care, including completing pre/post-op orders, addressing critical labs, preparing patients with allergy protocols, managing any clinical concerns that arise before or after procedures, writing discharge orders, and ensuring safe and efficient transitions home.

In addition to direct patient care, responsibilities include quality data collection, participation in quality assurance (QA) initiatives, and ongoing education of fellows and interdisciplinary team members. The role is integral to improving patient outcomes and supporting process improvements through data-driven, evidence-based practice.

In collaboration with a physician, provides for the expansion of individualized primary healthcare services by diagnosing and treating certain acute or chronic health conditions. Responsibilities: Obtains patient history and performs assessment via observation, interview and examination. Orders, performs and interprets diagnostic studies. Performs preventative health assessments, screening, immunizations and patient care.| Provides direct treatment and management of health conditions via prescriptive authority or referral to other healthcare providers or community resources.| Counsels and educates patients and their families/caregivers concerning preventative health, treatment options and community resources.| Documents delivery of health care and nursing processes in accordance with specific specialty area standards and network nursing policy. Licensure/Certification/Registration: Required Credential(s): - Nurse Practitioner credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office. - Registered Nurse credentialed from the Michigan Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Verified by local Credentialing Office. - BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. American Red Cross (ARC) CPR for Professional Rescuers card will be accepted upon hire but renewal must be a BLS Provider card from AHA. Verified by local Credentialing Office. Education: - Master's degree of Nursing required.

Qualifications:

· NP – Completion of a Nurse Practitioner training program accredited by the Commission on the Collegiate of Nursing Education (CCNE) or the National League for Nursing Accrediting Commission (NLNAC)

· PA – Completion of a Physician Assistant training program accredited by the Accreditation Review Commission on Education for the Physician Assistant (ARC-PA)

· NP – Certification by a certification body recognized by the State of Michigan

· PA – Certification by National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA)

Licensure and Certification

· Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant in the state of Michigan, or in process of applying (must have proof of application)

· National certification as an NP or PA (e.g., ANCC, AANP, NCCPA)

· Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS)

· Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

· DEA/CSL, required through credentialing.

DEA - NPs do not have controlled substance licenses, only PAs. When NPs apply, they will enter MI license number instead of controlled substance license since they won't have a CSL.

Experience

· Prefer, 1 year experience as an APP
