Job summary

The CORE Institute in Phoenix, AZ is hiring a Registered Nurse for Pre-Admission Testing (Pool). This part-time role involves coordinating testing prior to procedures, assessing patient readiness, and collaborating with anesthesia and clinical teams to ensure smooth admissions.

The ideal candidate holds an Arizona RN license, an Associate degree (Bachelor's preferred), and a minimum of five years nursing experience with at least one year in PAT.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in nursing required; a bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
• Minimum of five years nursing experience is required; at least one year PAT experience preferred.
• Current RN licensure in the state of Arizona.
• BLS and ACLS certifications, or obtained within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, evaluate, and ensure patient care to meet outcomes.
• Deliver safe patient care according to hospital policy and procedures.
• Assess patient status by phone or in person and document appropriately.
• Coordinate pre-admission care with anesthesia and clinical teams.
• Guide patients in obtaining necessary testing for procedures prep.
• Apply appropriate standards of care based on assessment data.
• Provide and document quality nursing care.
• Send cases to anesthesia for review when needed.
