Job summary

Regent Surgical Health is seeking a Pre Admission Testing RN (PAT) to advocate for patients and ensure continuity of care through collaboration with the surgical center team. This full-time, onsite role supports preadmission planning and coordination with physician offices.

The ideal candidate holds an RN license in Florida, with at least two years of nursing experience and required certifications (BLS/ACLS/PALS as policy).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Current RN license in appropriate State.
• Minimum of two years nursing experience.
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification (as required by ASC policy).

Responsibilities

• Assess patient and family needs to provide quality care during patient interview.
• Develop, discuss, and communicate a plan of care for each patient with family and significant others.
• Collaborate with anesthesia provider to pre-screen patients with health concerns prior to surgery.
• Evaluate and reassess identified issues and care provided to ensure quality outcomes.
• Maintain up-to-date documentation of nursing care and communicate concerns to the health care team.
• Demonstrate respect for patients, families, visitors and staff in a professional environment.
• Follow exposure control plans and infection prevention guidelines.
• Communicate arrival times and NPO instructions to patients as prescribed.
• Record physician orders accurately and timely.
• Cross-train to pre-op and PACU and assist in those areas when requested.
• Handle telephone inquiries and document encounters promptly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent
