Job summary

FirstHealth of the Carolinas is seeking a Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) Registered Nurse to assess and prepare patients for surgery and procedures through phone and in-person visits. The role partners with providers and anesthesia to promote patient safety, complete nursing assessments, coordinate tests, and educate patients on fasting and arrival instructions to reduce delays and cancellations.

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current NC or compact RN licensure.
• Current BLS certification.
• PAT, perioperative, procedural, or acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Strong assessment, communication, organizational, and computer skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
