Job summary

Solairus seeks an experienced Captain to command the Praetor 600, delivering safe, prudent operation and exceptional service for clients on every flight from KSJC and beyond.

You will review maintenance status, conduct thorough pre-flight inspections, assess weather and NOTAMs, plan fuel and performance, and ensure compliance with FAA regulations while collaborating with dispatch to meet client travel needs.

Qualifications

• Total flight time and PIC time requirements are listed in the candidate profile.
• Must hold current type rating for Praetor 600 or equivalent aircraft.
• Must have a valid First-Class Medical certificate.
• ICAO international procedures training must be completed annually.
• Must reside within two hours of KSJC or be willing to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Serve as Pilot in Command, ensuring safe operation of the Praetor 600 on every flight.
• Review maintenance status and verify airworthiness prior to departure.
• Conduct thorough pre-flight inspections per the Aircraft Flight Manual.
• Analyze weather, NOTAMs, routes; plan fuel and performance accordingly.
• Ensure compliance with Solairus policies and Federal Aviation Regulations.
• Safeguard passengers, aircraft, and crew; model professional airmanship and service.
• Complete trip documents and operational reports accurately and on time.
• Collaborate with dispatch/operations and crew to support client travel needs.
