Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor's degree, Master's degree, Nursing program, or higher educational program and eligible for internship placement.
• Knowledge of confidentiality laws governing substance use and mental health treatment.
• Understanding of case management principles, rehabilitation methods, and community resources for individuals experiencing mental health challenges.
• Basic computer skills and proficiency with common software applications.

Responsibilities

• Assist in supporting clients throughout their treatment experience by providing encouragement, guidance, and positive role modeling.
• Co-facilitate educational and recreational groups while helping create a supportive and engaging environment for participants.
• Participate in treatment-related activities by helping identify client strengths, needs, and areas of concern.
• Observe and monitor client activities, documenting relevant observations and ensuring client accountability.
• Support the admissions and orientation process, including obtaining vital signs, conducting safety searches, and collecting urine or lab specimens as appropriate.
• Collaborate with treatment teams by attending staff meetings, treatment planning meetings, and training sessions.
• Assist with screening and monitoring detoxification clients to support safety and recovery needs within Adult Programs.
• Maintain accurate documentation and timely communication regarding client behaviors, interactions, and concerns.
• Follow program policies, safety protocols, confidentiality requirements, and ethical standards at all times.
• Contribute to the overall success of the program through ongoing learning, participation in staff development activities, and teamwork.
