Job summary

Orrick, Herrington & Sutcliffe LLP in Houston is seeking a Practice Support Analyst, Public Finance, to work with attorneys, paralegals and executive assistants in the Public Finance Department. You will help reduce administrative burden, edit documents, file reports to governmental agencies, and manage document handling from preparation to finalization.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree, 1–3 years of experience, excellent communication and time management, and strong MS Office and Adobe

  • Some research and database skills.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with attorneys and staff to implement best practices and process enhancements.
  • Edit and revise transaction documents based on project manager and attorney requests.
  • Assist with the preparation and filing of reports to governmental agencies, such as IRS tax documents, state debt issuance filings and other statutorily required filings.
  • Generate signature pages and assist with distributing, tracking execution status, and compiling completed signature pages.
  • Assemble and upload final documents to cloud based file sharing sites.
  • Clean up and document processing after transaction closings.
  • Finalize deal transcripts and internal record-keeping.
  • Assist in the opening of new matters, time entry and scheduling
  • Special projects, as needed.

Job description

Orrick currently has an excellent opportunity for a Practice Support Analyst, Public Finance. This position could be based in our San Francisco, New York, Houston or Austin offices.

As a Practice Support Analyst, you will work closely with the Attorneys, Paralegals and Executive Assistants within the Public Finance Department. Your objective is to reduce administrative burden for the department and provide the highest quality administrative support possible. We are looking for enthusiastic team members with strong technological skills who are committed to delivering service at the highest level every single day.

The expected salary range for this position is:

  • New York City or San Francisco $55,000 - $75,000
  • Houston $46,000 - $68,000
  • Austin $50,000 - $60,000

Orrick is committed to providing a comprehensive, competitive, and thoughtful total compensation package to our attorneys and staff, wherever they work. This compensation and benefits information is based on the Orrick’s estimate as of the date of publication and may be modified in the future. The level of pay within the range will depend on a variety of job-related factors that may include, but not limited to, qualifications, relevant experience or education, particular skills or expertise, geography. Other compensation may include an annual discretionary merit bonus, which would be determined by Firm and individual performance.
