Position Overview

Located in Gilford, NH, the Sleep Center operates Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 4:00 pm. Under the supervision of the Practice Administrator/Practice Manager or Assistant Practice Manager, this role involves clerical and data management tasks supporting patient registration, referral coordination, phone management, and other patient care duties. The PCC serves as the primary contact for patients and their families, ensuring timely, efficient, and compassionate customer service.

Minimum Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED; must pass annual registration competency exam.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills; experience interacting with the public, staff, and patients preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical office operations including scheduling, registration, electronic medical records, billing, coding, referrals, authorizations, payer guidelines, compliance, credentials, and regulatory standards.
  • Familiarity with medical terminology is preferred.
Responsibilities
  1. Greet and assist patients; secure signatures and follow policies and procedures.
  2. Verify insurance and demographic information; educate patients on available resources; reconcile work lists and reports.
  3. Coordinate patient care across primary, specialty, and ancillary services.
  4. Manage patient information intake and maintain medical records.
  5. Handle all incoming calls and inquiries.
  6. Schedule, confirm, or reschedule appointments; promote Patient Connect enrollment.
  7. Distribute mail, faxes, and electronic communications; educate patients on form completion.
  8. Support a patient-centered culture and work both independently and as part of a team on various projects.
