Location: Lancaster, PA

Hours: Full-time (40 hours/week); primarily day shift (10-hour shifts) Monday-Friday; occasional evening hours; no weekends; no holidays.

Responsibilities:
  1. Provide nursing services to patients at a provider’s office, including care for pediatric infants to geriatric patients.
  2. Perform clinical advice via phone or electronic correspondence, based on clinical judgment and triage protocols.
  3. Educate patients on preventive care, chronic disease management, medications, and other relevant topics.
  4. Prepare patients for visits using standard rooming protocols.
  5. Administer injections and medications as prescribed, following department protocols and standards.
  6. Assist providers with procedures, minor surgeries, and exams.
  7. Perform Point of Care Testing (e.g., hearing, flu, urine, strep tests).
  8. Collect and prepare laboratory specimens.
  9. Authorize prescription refills as directed by providers.
  10. Monitor and track test results and overdue reports.
  11. Remove sutures and change wound dressings as needed.
  12. Maintain cleanliness and supply of exam rooms; clean and sterilize instruments.
  13. Review and update care plans, follow up with patients as necessary.
  14. Conduct outreach for preventive and chronic care services.
  15. Coordinate care among specialists and manage referrals.
  16. Participate in performance improvement initiatives.
  17. Engage in daily huddles with providers.
  18. Act as a patient experience advocate, maintaining professionalism and confidentiality.
  19. Perform front office duties as needed and participate in on-call duties.
  20. Travel regionally if required, with a valid driver’s license.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • Completion of an LPN or RN educational program.
  • Current licensure as an RN or LPN issued by the PA State Board of Nursing.
  • AHA CPR/BLS certification within 30 days of hire.
  • Ability to travel regionally to multiple sites.
  • 1-2 years of nursing experience in primary or specialty care settings.
  • Experience with triage, emergency, cardiac, or ICU nursing preferred.
