NHS Jobs in the United States Virginia region is seeking a healthcare assistant to assist in routine patient care under the guidance of Lead nurse and GPs. The role involves chronic disease management, immunisations, wound care, contraceptive advice, and health promotion.

You will contribute to NHS Health Checks and screening, infection prevention, and work toward quality targets while supporting training and development for nursing staff where appropriate.

Responsabilidades

• Chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, asthma, COPD).
• Cervical cytology.
• Childhood and adult immunisations.
• Wound care and dressings.
• Contraceptive advice.
• NHS Health Checks and screening.
• Health promotion and lifestyle advice.
• Infection prevention and control.
• Supporting the practice in meeting QOF, IIF, and other quality targets.
• Depending on experience, support training and development for nurses and health care assistants within the Practice.

Assist in and perform routine tasks related to patient care as directed by Lead nurse and GPs. Such tasks may include:

• Chronic disease management (e.g., diabetes, asthma, COPD)
• Cervical cytology
• Childhood and adult immunisations
• Wound care and dressings
• Contraceptive advice
• NHS Health Checks and screening
• Health promotion and lifestyle advice
• Infection prevention and control
• Supporting the practice in meeting QOF, IIF, and other quality targets
• Depending on experience, we will encourage you to support training and development for nurses and health care assistants within the Practice.
