Job Summary
The Practice Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of their assigned clinic and ensures clinic staff is working in compliance with PPOA’s policies and procedures. This position reports to the Regional Clinical Supervisor.

Job Description

  1. Staff Management
    • Supervises Medical Assistant(s) including orientation, performance reviews, and maintenance of personnel records with HR.
    • Ensures clinical staff follow corporate policies, procedures, compliance programs, and efficient workflows.
    • Serves as a resource to staff as EHR Super User.
  2. Clinic Maintenance
    • Monitors clinical needs, provides ongoing staff training, restocks supplies, and ensures necessary tools and resources are available.
    • Works closely with the clinical director on equipment and supply requests.
    • Monitors schedule block time and recommends effective utilization to the Administrator.
  3. Compliance
    • Ensures clinic practices comply with state and federal guidelines.
    • Coordinates with related departments such as IT, HR, Scheduling, and Billing.
    • Accurately relays AP and Payroll information to PPOA Corporate.
    • Maintains clinic schedule and petty cash logs efficiently.
    • Assists with clinical staff credentialing and licensure monitoring.
  4. Patient Care and Customer Service
    • Supports physicians and mid-level providers in patient care.
    • Protects privacy and security of EMR.
    • Oversees EHR maintenance for timely chart completion.
    • Communicates professionally with patients, physicians, and staff.
    • Monitors EHR charting for accuracy and compliance.

Job Requirements

  • College Degree Preferred; experience and education considered.
  • Experience in pain management clinics and ASCs within an out-of-network environment is ideal.
  • 5 years sales experience and 1 year of management/supervision experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and computer skills, ability to prioritize.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Effective communication in English; additional languages preferred.
  • Professional communication, counseling, training, and marketing skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and EHR management.

Hours and Working Conditions

Locations in Florida and Texas. Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM (subject to change).

Hazards include contact with communicable diseases, electrical equipment, blood-borne pathogens, etc. Protective gear provided as needed.
