Provides supervision for all staff ensuring all company policies are being followed. Communicates effectively with patients, physicians, staff members and all other internal and external contacts. Requires proficient knowledge of Managed Care, Medicare and Medicaid guidelines, billing and coding expertise. Must promote and maintain the goals and objectives of the organization while representing the practice with a positive, professional attitude and appearance at all times. **Essential Functions*** Maintains organization of the office consistent with the goals and requirements of the company.* Coordinates the supervision of employees through delegation of appropriate responsibility and authority to qualified staff.* Establishes minimum requirements consistent with and complementary to company policies and procedures for effective supervision of staff.* Initiates all new hires, promotions, salary adjustments, disciplinary actions, terminations, and commendation for all personnel.* Prepares paperwork required by Human Resources and maintains current employee information on all personnel.* Assures that patient records are maintained and are in compliance with all local, state, federal and accreditation regulations.* When applicable, implements, trains staff and maintains Electronic Health Record for practice.* Streamlines all office procedures to better utilize personnel at highest capacity.* Processes and forwards all invoices, status reports, volume reports, and various requested reports to the Director on a weekly basis.* Maintains knowledge of all current local, state, federal and accreditation regulations.* Communicates effectively with all internal and external customers, striving to reach solutions to problems and resolve issues that are most beneficial.* Provides reports as requested by Director.* Initiates staff meetings to ensure knowledge of all rules and regulations, facility problems and maintains open lines of communication.* Attends all staff and in-service meetings.* Assists and maintains all budget activities and requirements, providing fiscal statistics, as required by Director.* Coordinates and maintains current knowledge of reimbursement requirements/regulations and assists in the initiation of changes to the charge system to maximize revenue in coordination with the Billing and Collections Company and/or on-site Billing personnel.* Maintains and implements current knowledge of all managed care requirements in coordination with the Director of Managed Care.* Monitors and implements all system needs and requirements in coordination with IT.* Ensures the facility is clean and presentable at all times.* Anticipates Director’s needs by gathering records, reports, correspondence or other specific information as needed.* Composes correspondence and sends to appropriate individuals under the direction of the Director.* Participates in professional development activities to keep current with health care trends and practices.* Presents a professional manner and dress in representing the company to clients and staff.* Possesses basic knowledge in all areas of Managed Care policies and procedures.* Maintains amicable relationships with all providers to ensure excellent working environment.* Coordinates all activities with Director to ensure compliance in all areas of Managed Care, Medicare and Medicaid.* Provides phone support, as needed.* Provides support to other personnel on an as needed basis.* Coordinates office supply needs for purchase and ensures cost-effective pricing and monitoring.* Ensures that a neat and orderly work area is maintained.* Ensures all mail is processed daily.* Highland Medical, P.C.
