Practice Manager II - Defiance Clinic Physicians

Work Shift: Days (United States of America)

Scope of Responsibility: One or more physician practices

Number of Direct Reports: Varies

JOB SUMMARY

The Practice Manager 2 anticipates, plans, organizes, and directs the operations of three or more physician practices, supporting 6 or more providers and managing at least 10 employee FTEs to ensure high-quality care and services. Responsible for achieving annual operational and financial goals, and overseeing employees to ensure efficient workflows for patients, providers, and staff through standardized processes and best practices.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  1. Supervises and motivates staff by promoting teamwork, development, and goal setting. Handles management functions including hiring, training, evaluating, and counseling employees in line with HR policies. Ensures clinical staff practices within their licensing scope.
  2. Sets standards of professionalism and customer service, facilitating effective relationships with internal and external customers.
  3. Ensures compliance with quality, safety, and risk standards, manages supply chain activities, inventory, and invoices within budgets.
  4. Acts as a liaison for onboarding new providers and staff, supporting transition processes.
  5. Manages revenue cycle processes, reviews data and financial reports, and participates in planning and budgeting.
  6. Coordinates compliance with regulatory agencies like The Joint Commission and interfaces with hospital departments for infrastructure needs.
MINIMUM EDUCATION

Associate's Degree (2-year)

Preferred Education

Bachelor's Degree (4-year) or equivalent experience and education combination.

Experience Requirements

At least two years managing a physician practice or equivalent leadership experience with management training.

Skills and Abilities

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, conflict resolution, problem-solving, strategic execution, proficiency in Windows Office and EMR systems.
