Overview

Blue Ridge Health is currently seeking a Practice Manager I to be part of our Clinical Team in Arden, NC.

What You'll Do:

The Practice Manager I coordinates day-to-day clinic operations at assigned clinic/practice locations under the supervision of the Practice Manager II or Director of Practice Operations. The Practice Manager I typically supervises smaller clinic locations with less than 5 provider clinical FTE. Responsibilities include:

  • Establish provider and support staff schedules, task assignments and allocation of manpower, space and equipment to ensure effective patient care and provide conformance with quality performance standards for efficient clinical service in the practice.
  • Works with clinic/practice provider teams and Practice Manager II or Director of Practice Operations to resolve patient flow problems as they occur.
  • Reviews patient and customer complaints and works with patients to resolve complaints and clinic issues, as they occur. Involves others in complaint resolution, as needed.
  • Coordinates and provides assistance with personnel functions including, but not limited to, interviewing candidates, feedback on performance appraisals, and coordination of vacation schedules for both clinic provider staff and support staff;
  • Coordinates the orientation, competency, and ongoing training of all new employees at clinic/practice site with the Practice Manager II or Director of Practice Operations
  • Monitors, verifies and reviews expenditure of budgeted funds on a monthly basis with the Practice Manager II or Director of Practice Operations
  • Assists the Practice Manager II or Director of Practice Operations with planning the annual operating, capital, and training budgets for the clinic/practice
  • Oversees ordering of all supplies along with assuring the proper maintenance of present office equipment. Reviews medical supply utilization and institutes cost-savings plans.
What We're Looking For:
  • Registered Nurse (RN), Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) preferred.
  • 1–3 years of supervisory or leadership experience in a healthcare setting preferred.
  • Prior experience in primary care or outpatient clinic operations a plus.
  • Understanding of medical office operations, including scheduling, patient flow, billing, and insurance processes.
  • Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for interacting with providers, staff, patients, and leadership.
  • Excellent knowledge of various computer programs including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
