Job description

Summary
Responsible for small to medium single-site practices or smaller multi-site practices (3 or more locations). Provides direct supervision of administrative and clinical support staff, along with operational duties and functions. As a member of the leadership team, offers administrative cross-coverage to manage staffing and operational issues.

Essential Functions

  1. Oversees the day-to-day administrative performance of secretarial and clinical support staff and manages staff schedules. Evaluates daily staffing needs and coordinates staff replacements.
  2. Performs hiring, orientation, and evaluation of staff. Administers corrective actions when appropriate.
  3. Assists in the career development of practice employees through ongoing coaching, counseling, and training. Ensures all mandatory training is completed and HIPAA policies and procedures are followed.
  4. Evaluates, develops, and implements administrative systems and procedures to maximize practice operations. Regularly reviews practice performance metrics and collaborates with practice leaders on annual budgets.
  5. Oversees payroll processes, resolves payroll issues, and monitors patient billing activity to ensure compliance with revenue procedures. Performs other duties as assigned.

Entry Level Manager Role

Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field required.

Experience: 2-3 years of supervisory experience required.
2-3 years of experience working in an academic healthcare environment required.
