Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and licensed Civil Engineer to join our team as a Senior Project Manager/Practice Lead. The ideal candidate will have more than 10 years of hands-on experience in the civil engineering field, with a strong technical background in land development projects. This individual should be adept at leading and mentoring teams of engineers, possess exceptional client relationship management skills, and have a proven track record in business development.

Project Leadership:

1. Provide strategic leadership in the planning, design, and execution of complex land development projects.
2. Oversee and manage project teams, ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality engineering solutions while adhering to plans, schedules, timelines, and budgets.
3. Coordinate with various support staff, municipalities, and clients to ensure accurate and timely information flow.
4. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring their needs and expectations are met throughout the project lifecycle.

Technical Expertise:

1. Leverage experience and practical engineering skills to expertly supervise, direct, and/or perform site grading and drainage, roadway and utility design, and structural design.
2. Perform all duties in strict adherence to local, state, federal, and international building codes, guidelines, and best practices to ensure that every project complies with safety and environmental standards.
3. Analyze and implement best practices in engineering design utilizing advanced computer aided drafting software and mapping, including but not limited to Civil3D and GIS.
4. Contribute to the solution-oriented culture of SEG by thinking critically to solve challenging engineering problems.
5. Stay abreast of industry trends and innovations, integrating new technologies into project workflows.

Requirements

1. Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from an ABET-accredited program. Advanced degree (Master's or MBA) is highly desirable.
2. Professional Engineering (PE) license required.
3. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil engineering, with a focus on land development projects.
4. Proven track record of successfully leading and managing engineering teams.
5. Exceptional technical expertise in civil engineering principles, design practices, construction methods, and local regulations.
6. Strong client relationship management skills with a demonstrated ability to understand and fulfill client needs.
7. Experience in business development, including proposal preparation, client presentations, and successful project acquisition.
8. Business Acumen: Strong understanding of business development, financial management, and strategic planning.
9. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
10. Proficiency in relevant engineering software and tools.
