We are seeking an experienced leader to scale Virtasant’s Cost Optimization (FinOps) practice. This strategic role involves building and growing our FinOps offerings, leading the continued build-out of our automation platform, collaborating with clients to design and deliver impactful solutions, and ensuring exceptional outcomes in complex, large-scale engagements. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of FinOps principles, experience working with large enterprises, and a strong track record in services organizations, including pre-sales, solution design, and engagement delivery.

Key responsibilities include:

• Building and leading Virtasant’s Cost Optimization business globally
• Defining service offerings, frameworks, methodologies, and delivery models
• Recruiting, mentoring, and developing a high-performing team of FinOps consultants and engineers
• Engaging directly with clients to assess needs, design solutions, and drive successful project delivery
• Ensuring consistent high-quality outcomes and client satisfaction across all engagements
• Leading large-scale cloud cost optimization initiatives, delivering measurable savings and strategic value
• Collaborating with sales teams to develop go-to-market strategies, proposals, RFP responses, and client presentations
• Product leadership and management of our proprietary automation platform
• Representing Virtasant within the industry, with particular emphasis on the FinOps Foundation, where we are a Premier Member and one of the longest-standing members.
• Staying at the forefront of industry trends, tools, and best practices in FinOps and cloud cost optimization
  
  

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in leading FinOps or Cloud Cost Optimization practices, preferably in a consulting or professional services environment
• Deep knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and associated cost models and optimization techniques
• Strong understanding of FinOps principles, tools, and governance frameworks
• Demonstrated success in pre-sales, solution design, and driving revenue growth
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to operate in a fast-paced, global, remote environment
• Relevant certifications (e.g., FinOps Certified Practitioner, cloud provider certifications) are a plus
