Dentons Bingham Greenebaum LLP is seeking a Practice Manager for Economic Development and Tax in Indianapolis. The role supports day-to-day operations, strategic business initiatives, and cross-department collaboration to drive practice growth.

Based in a hybrid Indianapolis setting, the position reports to the Director of Clients, Markets and Communications, and partners with group chairs to manage budgets, pitches, and BD activities.

Qualifications

• Five years of experience in professional services or related field, with strong preference for law firm experience.
• Exceptional attention to detail and strong communication skills.
• The ideal candidate will be a team-player and highly responsive; able to prioritize, manage multiple assignments, and handle ambiguity.
• Strategic coordination and execution.
• Ability to anticipate needs and plan ahead.
• Relationship management.
• Independent problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop strategic business goals, objectives, and tactics in alignment with firm strategy.
• Develop agendas and drive follow-up for regular partner and group meetings.
• Collaborate with peers across the firm’s business support departments to manage initiatives and support business strategies.
• Become an expert on the practice, clientele, sources of business and related resources.
• Develop and manage group budgets.
• Identify opportunities to cross-sell assigned practice group services across the firm.
• Assist lawyers in identifying appropriate staffing for pitches and new matters.
• Respond to RFpS and prepare pitches and proposals designed to obtain new business and client presentations.
• Partner with marketing operations and communications teams to support the group’s business development and profile visibility.
• Lead marketing operations team members through development of collateral and sales tools.
• Identify opportunities for thought leadership and coordinate with communications teams.
• Orient laterals and help develop and implement BD plans.
