University of New Haven invites applications for an Assistant Professor of Practice in Forensic Science located in West Haven, CT. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and graduate courses in forensic science, scene investigation, and related topics, and contribute to curriculum development and student mentoring.

Ideal candidates hold an MS in Forensic Science or related field, possess active professional certifications (IAI, POST), and have hands-on law enforcement or crime scene

Qualifications

• MS in Forensic Science, Forensic Technology, or related field from an accredited institution.
• Demonstrated teaching ability delivering lectures or training in forensic topics.
• Extensive hands-on experience in law enforcement or crime scene investigation.
• Professional certifications (IAI or similar).
• Experience as university instructor or adjunct; track record across undergraduate/graduate levels.
• Proficiency in specialized documentation tools and software.

Responsibilities

• Develop and modify core curriculum and electives, including labs.
• Provide academic and career advising to forensic science students.
• Supervise research projects, Capstone, or theses involving forensic techniques.
• Teach undergraduate and graduate courses in forensic science and scene investigation.
