Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Two years of experience in a hospital, medical office, or clinic.

Duties and Responsibilities

The following list describes the general nature of work; other duties may be assigned:

  1. Schedule patient appointments, including follow-ups, testing, labs, and surgical bookings.
  2. Assist with creating and modifying scheduling templates.
  3. Answer phones, triage calls, respond to patient requests, and take messages.
  4. Greet and check-in patients; verify demographic and insurance info.
  5. Assist with revenue cycle tasks such as registration, referral management, and insurance verification.
  6. Collect copayments.
  7. Prepare medical records and load information into the EMR system.
  8. Monitor patient flow and communicate delays.
  9. Assist with billing and reconciliation.
  10. Perform general office tasks like faxing, filing, mailing, and supply ordering.
  11. Provide clerical support to physicians.
  12. Participate in performance improvement projects.
Physical Requirements
  • Frequent sitting, occasional standing, lifting 10-15 lbs.
