Brigham and Women's Hospital, Inc. is seeking a friendly Practice Assistant II for the Department of Orthopedics. The role supports both administrative and clinical operations, ensuring patients are welcomed, informed, and supported during their visits.

You will handle scheduling, registration, billing tasks, and provide training to colleagues while contributing to efficient orthopedic care and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 2–3 years of office experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to manage phone inquiries and scheduling tasks.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsabilités

  • Serve as a key point of contact for patients, handling scheduling, check-in, and check-out with a welcoming, professional demeanor.
  • Coordinate patient appointments, maintain records, answer calls, and respond to routine inquiries.
  • Process billing forms, scan documents into the medical record, and request outside records and lab results as needed.
  • Support daily office operations, including filing, correspondence, and mail.
  • Assist with co-pay collection and messages related to authorizations, prescriptions, and test results.
  • Provide training and support for scheduling, registration, and billing systems; assist with surgical scheduling and provider schedule changes.
