Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-3 years of office experience preferred.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with EPIC is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Perform routine administrative and clerical duties for a clinical service or physician practice.
  • Make patient appointments and maintain appointment records.
  • Greet and assist patients; answer phones and schedule inquiries.
  • File materials in patient folders and print schedules.
  • Process patient billing forms and scan documents to records.
  • Call for patient records and lab results.
  • Open and distribute unit mail or faxes.
  • Type forms, records, schedules, memos, etc.
  • May accept co-payments.
  • Handle messages related to authorizations, questions, refills, and test results.
  • Act as an EPIC Super User for scheduling, registration and billing.
  • Provide assistance and training to others in these areas.
  • May perform more complex scheduling tasks as needed.

Perform tasks that are related to patient visits including scheduling, check-in, and check-out duties.
