Department: OBGYN Schedule: Monday - Friday, Normal Business Hours, Onsite Compensation: The pay rate for this position starts at $20.00 per hour, with increases based on the candidate's years of experience. As a vital member of our clinical operations team, you’ll provide administrative support to ensure our practice runs smoothly and efficiently. In this dynamic, fast-paced role, you’ll be the friendly face that plays a key role in creating a positive, efficient, and compassionate environment for both patients and clinical staff. The Practice Assistant II supports efficient practice operations by providing administrative and patient-facing support under general supervision. Responsibilities include scheduling, check-in/check-out, patient communication, and office coordination. Duties may vary by department.


What You’ll Do


  • Schedule patient appointments and maintain appointment records.

  • Greet and assist patients and respond to routine inquiries.

  • Manage phone calls, appointment scheduling, and message routing.

  • Process billing forms and scan documents into EPIC.

  • Request medical records and laboratory results.

  • Distribute mail and faxes and prepare routine correspondence.

  • Collect patient co-payments as needed.

  • Handle messages related to prior authorizations, provider questions, prescription refills, and test results.

  • Serve as an EPIC Super User for scheduling, registration, and billing systems (training provided).

  • Assist with training staff and perform advanced scheduling functions, including surgical scheduling and schedule management, as needed.


Qualifications

Education High School Diploma or equivalent required Experience 2–3 years of office experience required


Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and standard office equipment. Knowledge of office operations and administrative procedures. Strong phone, customer service, verbal, and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accuracy in a fast-paced environment. Excellent organizational and time-management skills. Ability to follow established processes and work effectively within a team.
