Job summary

RimePro Inc in North Carolina seeks an Environmental Services Practice Leader to grow an established environmental group within a civil engineering firm. This hands-on leadership role manages project delivery, builds the team, and drives growth across a multi-state footprint, with overnight travel.

The ideal candidate will oversee environmental project delivery, set strategic direction, mentor staff, ensure regulatory compliance, and develop client relationships to expand business opportunities

Qualifications

• Documented experience leading environmental consulting projects or a practice group.
• Comfortable setting strategy and running a team with minimal oversight.
• Strong grasp of environmental regulations and compliance requirements.
• Able to identify technical issues and guide best practices across projects.
• Solid track record with client relationships and business development.

Environmental Services Practice Leader

Summary Looking for an Environmental Services Practice Leader to run and grow an established environmental group within a civil engineering firm. This is a hands‑on leadership role, someone who can manage project delivery, build out the team, and drive the practice’s growth across a multi‑state footprint. Overnight travel required.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee delivery of environmental projects, ensuring quality and compliance standards are met
• Set strategic direction for the environmental services practice and lead the team
• Monitor the project pipeline and manage staffing and resource needs
• Prepare project fees and proposals, manage contracts and invoicing
• Build and maintain client relationships, drive business development
• Mentor and develop staff, oversee onboarding and training plans
• Maintain technical standards and stay current on environmental regulations

Qualifications

• Documented experience leading environmental consulting projects or a practice group
• Comfortable setting strategy and running a team with minimal oversight
• Strong grip on environmental regulations and compliance requirements
• Can catch technical issues and guide best practices across projects
• Solid track record with client relationships and business development

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred)
• Valid driver’s license required; overnight travel required
• Strong written and verbal communication skills

Compensation and benefits

• $110K–$140K base, plus performance bonuses
