Job summary

Tri-County Career Center is seeking an as-needed Practical Nurse Teaching Assistant to support adult center programs. The role emphasizes classroom, lab, and clinical instruction aligned with Ohio Board of Nursing standards.

Ideal candidates hold an ADN, have US clinical nursing experience, and possess an Ohio RN license or eligibility, with BLS and teaching aptitude. This on-site pool position starts Aug 10, 2026, with competitive hourly pay and benefits based on hours.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school is required.
• Two (2) years (24 months FTE) of clinical nursing experience in the United States is required.
• Current unrestricted Ohio RN license or eligibility to obtain an unrestricted Ohio RN license is required.
• Basic Life Support Certification.
• Eligible to obtain Ohio Department of Education/Adult Education Permit.
• Knowledge of LPN practices and ability to teach.
• FBI/BCI background clearance
• TB clearance
• Proficient oral and written skills.
• Teaching experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality nursing education that complies with the Ohio Board of Nursing curriculum standards through classroom, laboratory, and clinical teaching.
• Faculty support student learning, evaluate student progress, and ensure all instructional activities meet program objectives and regulatory requirements.
• Help students prepare for the NCLEX-PN licensure exam.
