Delta College is seeking a highly student-oriented Registered Nurse to join our team as a full-time Practical Nursing Clinical Instructor at our Covington Campus. This day shift position will teach clinical rotations to our LPN students and support them to graduate with confidence.

The role requires coordinating with clinical sites, developing assignments, and instructing students on clinical duties. A Louisiana RN license and nursing experience are essential; teaching experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Louisiana state RN license is required.
• Minimum of three years of nursing experience.
• At least one year of Med-Surgical Staff Nurse experience required.

Responsabilités

• Teach clinical rotations to LPN students.
• Coordinate with clinicians at clinical sites.
• Develop and review student assignments; instruct students on site duties.

Job Summary

Delta College is seeking a highly student-oriented Registered Nurse to join our team as a full-time Practical Nursing Clinical Instructor at our Covington Campus. This is a day shift position. The PN Clinical Instructor will be responsible for teaching clinical rotations to our LPN students.

Clinical Schedule

Clinicals are taught three days a week (Mon, Tues, Thurs and Mon, Tues, Fri) from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM. Some of the Practical Nurse Clinical Instructor's responsibilities include:

• Coordinating with clinicians at clinical sites.
• Developing and reviewing student assignments.
• Instructing students on how to perform duties at the clinical site.

Requirements

• Current and valid Louisiana state RN license.
• Minimum of three (3) years of nursing experience.
• At least one (1) year of Med-Surgical Staff Nurse work experience.
• Experience teaching in Nursing Education is a plus, but not required. The college trains all faculty.
• Recent Med-Surgical experience is a plus.

Successful candidates must pass a pre-employment drug and background screening.
