Seeking an experienced PR/Media expert and a speaking‑engagement strategist to help elevate AmpleHarvest.org and expand the voice and reach of Gary Oppenheimer, a longtime leader in the hunger relief space. This is a high‑impact volunteer opportunity for someone who enjoys opening doors, shaping narratives, and getting the right message in front of the right audiences. This role is volunteer‑based, and for the right person, it is also open to individuals interested in joining our Board of Trustees.

What You’ll Do

• Build and refine key messaging, media angles, and a clear public narrative.
• Identify and pitch media opportunities (print, digital, podcast, radio, TV).
• Create or polish press materials (media kit, bio, one‑pagers, talking points).
• Research and secure speaking engagements for Gary (keynotes, conferences, summits, corporate events, civic groups, universities, panels).
• Develop and manage outreach lists, outreach cadence, and follow‑up tracking.
• Coordinate scheduling and prep for interviews and appearances.

Ideal Volunteer Profile

• Experience in public relations, journalism, communications, or media production.
• Experience with speaker bureaus, event programming, conference booking, or talent management.
• Experience with executive visibility, thought leadership, or brand storytelling.
• Strong writing, pitching, relationship‑building, and follow‑through skills.

Time Commitment: Flexible and project‑based. A steady cadence (even a few hours a week) can make a big difference.
