Job summary

Havas Red Pittsburgh is seeking a PR Assistant in their Pittsburgh office. The program trains newcomers to PR, supporting account teams on client projects while building relationships with media and influencers to secure coverage.

The program is full-time for 4 months, with potential extension and advancement within the company. Hours are Monday–Friday, 9am–5:30pm, at $20.00 per hour with overtime eligibility; candidates must already hold a Bachelor's degree (not a summer internship).

Qualifications

• Strong writing (AP style), editing, listening and verbal communications skills.
• Resourceful and solutions focused.
• Multitasking, prioritizing and organizing with excellent attention to detail.
• Self-motivated and able to work in a collaborative environment as well as independently.

Responsibilities

• Secure media placements via outreach (phone and email), 5–10 placements monthly in Tier 3+ outlets.
• Provide social media/competitive intel reports and contribute to pitch concepts.
• Monitor industry news for client coverage and prepare updates for clients.
• Support weekly coverage uploads and reporting in the agency dashboard.
• Research media/influencer lists and assist with opportunities, awards, and analysis.
