Job summary

MOR PPM Inc. Roanoke Rapids, NC seeks qualified pipe fitters for an outage. Work includes fabrication, installation and maintenance of piping systems in an industrial environment.

Candidates should have at least three years of pipefitter experience in industrial construction, be safety-minded, and capable of working in confined spaces with physical stamina. Safety/steel toe shoes required.

Job Summary

MOR PPM Inc. seeks qualified pipe fitters for an outage in Roanoke Rapids, NC.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Exp w/layout, fabrication, installation, maintenance & repair of piping systems, structural steel, vessels, pumps & equip. in industry environment.

• Layout, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms in a steam boiler environment.
• Use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
• Must be experienced in Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel.
• Must be experienced in taking your own measurements and use power tools.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to complete hiring paperwork electronically through DocuSign
• May be required to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds
• Must posses enough strength and stamina to perform the technical duties and essential functions as identified above
• Must be able to move in and around confined spaces and uneven areas
• Must have full range of motion consistent with age
• Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders
• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
• Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
• Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
