Job summary

EMCOR Group is seeking a skilled Pipe Fitter for our Hopewell, VA site to support industrial construction projects. The role involves layout, fabrication, installation, maintenance and repair of piping systems, piping components, and related equipment in a challenging manufacturing environment.

The ideal candidate has at least three years of pipefitting experience in industrial construction, a strong commitment to safety, excellent attendance, and the ability to pass a drug screen.

Responsibilities

• Layout, fit, and fabricate metal components to assemble structural forms in a steam boiler environment.
• Use hand-welding or flame-cutting equipment to weld or join metal components or to fill holes, indentations, or seams of fabricated metal products.
• Must be experienced in Stainless Steel and Carbon Steel.
• Must be experienced in taking your own measurements and use power tools.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Must have full range of motion consistent with age

• Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms and other job-related noises
• Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces
• Safety/Steel toe shoes are required.
