Job summary

Parkview Health in Indiana seeks a Medical Assistant to support daily clinical and clerical operations in a physician practice. You will collaborate with the physician team to ensure high quality patient care and effective communication across staff and patients.

Applicants should have completed a medical assistant program and hold CMA, RMA, CCMA, NCMA, or CMAC certifications, plus CPR. Prior EMR use and physical lifting up to 25 pounds are expected.

Qualifications

• Must have solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations, service excellence, and clinical quality initiatives is preferred.
• EMR experience preferred; ability to lift 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily clinical and clerical operations in the physician practice(s).
• Collaborate with the physician team to provide quality patient care and support to providers through consistent communication.
• Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills and team collaboration to ensure patient satisfaction.

Job description

Summary

Responsible for assisting with daily clinical and clerical operations of the assigned physician practice(s). Works in collaboration with physician team to provide quality care to patients and quality support to providers through consistent communication.

Education

Must be a high school graduate or the equivalent with GED. Must have completed a medical assistant program that meets certification eligibility requirements.

Licensure/Certification

Must be a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) through American Association of Medical Assistants (AAMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) through American Medical Technologists (AMT) or Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA) through National Healthcareer Association (NHA) or National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA) through National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT) or Clinical Medical Assistant Certification (CMAC) through American Medical Certification Association (AMCA). CPR required.

Experience

Medical assistant or physician office experience preferred.

Other Qualifications

Must have solid verbal and written communication skills. Knowledge of clinical and clerical operations, service excellence, clinical quality initiatives preferred. Must be familiar with computers, electronic medical record experience preferred. Must be able to lift 25 pounds.
