PPEC of Palm Beach is a Prescribed Pediatric Extended Care center which was founded to serve medically fragile children in Palm Beach County. Requirements

The PPEC Assistant engages with the children in our care by joyful stimulation through singing, activities, and play. The following functions describe the essential duties of this role. Individuals in this role may not perform all these duties or may perform additional duties not listed here.

• Assist the nurse in providing daily care according to the Plan of Care
• Monitor children on the transport van coming to and from PPEC
• Ensure that transport policies and procedures are being followed
• Promote an engaging room environment where children can learn and develop
• Maintain a clean and safe environment
• Participate as a vital member of our multidisciplinary team
• Assistance with changing, transferring, and repositioning children
• Assistance with meal preparation

What We’re Looking For

Must Haves:

• Have 1 year experience in a pediatric care setting
• Valid Certifications such as CNA, MA, HHA, EMT
• CPR and First Aid certifications
• Ability to pass a Level II background check
• Ability to regularly lift and carry at least 50 pounds safely
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Nice To Have:

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred
