Job summary

Easterseals Bluegrass in Lexington, Kentucky, is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide skilled pediatric care in a licensed PPEC setting. You will monitor health, administer medications, and collaborate with families and staff to support development and safety.

The role requires an active RN license, pediatric nursing experience, and compliance with state licensing and Medicaid requirements. CPR/BLS is required; PALS is preferred.

Qualifications

• RN license in state of practice
• Pediatric nursing experience preferred (1–2 years)
• CPR/BLS certification; PALS preferred or required per state
• Knowledge of pediatric growth and development and family-centered care

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled nursing care to medically fragile and chronically ill children in a licensed PPEC setting.
• Perform ongoing clinical assessments and monitor health status throughout the day.
• Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and care plans.
• Manage medical equipment such as feeding tubes, suction devices, oxygen, ventilators, monitors.
• Educate families and caregivers about the child’s health status and care needs.
• Maintain clinical documentation in compliance with PPEC, Medicaid, and licensing requirements.
• Coordinate care with childcare staff to support safe participation in activities.
