Job summary

The Kidz Club PPEC in Lexington, Kentucky, is seeking a Registered Nurse to manage pediatric patient care with a focus on holistic health. The position offers day shifts only with weekends, nights, and holidays off, and aims to empower children who have medical complexities.

Qualifications

• Must have a current negative Tuberculosis skin test (PPD).
• Preferred: At least six months of current experience as a practicing RN.
• Basic computer skills required.

Overview

Join our team of passionate pediatric healthcare professionals empowering Kidz to be kids through PPEC daily skilled nursing. Always closed nights, Sundays, and major holidays.

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse is responsible for managing the care of pediatric patients according to individual needs and care plans using a multidisciplinary method. The RN facilitates referrals to primary providers, specialists, healthcare facilities, and community resources. The RN provides direct client care with a holistic approach to the care of children and their families, including educational, psychosocial, behavioral, physical, mental, and emotional needs. The RN will educate clients and families regarding immediate care needs and preventative behaviors.

Schedule

Only 8 or 10-hour shifts available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing school with current RN licensure eligible in the state of Kentucky.
• Recent graduate with a provisional RN license.
• Basic personal computer skills and comfort learning electronic charting systems.
• Preferred: At least six months of current experience as a practicing RN with pediatric experience.
• Current negative Tuberculosis skin test (PPD) required.
• Current CPR (Basic Life Support) required.

About the Program

The Kidz Club PPEC provides daily skilled nursing care for children, ages birth to under 21, who have been diagnosed with medical complexities. PPECs initiate daily conversation among pediatricians, therapists, and family, providing continuity of care through case management, skilled nursing, and enrichment for the betterment of the child.
