Daimler Truck North America in Detroit, MI is offering a summer internship in powertrain validation. You will support multiple teams by setting up validation tests, executing test runs, analyzing results and troubleshooting software, harnesses, sensors and calibration issues for conventional and alternative powertrains.

We require current enrollment in a bachelor’s program (or recent graduate within 1 year), study in mechanical/electrical engineering or computer science, familiarity with Python,

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s program or recently graduated within 12 months.
• Fields of study include Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or related.
• Technical knowledge of axles, diesel engines, transmissions, and vehicle electrical systems.
• Ability to read schematics and interpret mechanical prints; strong data analysis skills.

Responsabilités

• Support validation topics for conventional and alternative powertrains.
• Develop and implement engineering test methodologies, fixtures and procedures.
• Analyze test results and troubleshoot software/calibration issues.
• Develop test scripts to test propulsion software features and functions.
• Collaborate with product and lab support teams to improve efficiency.
