Job summary

Harbinger is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for the Powertrain commodity to ensure the quality of critical components and to drive continuous improvement with suppliers, engineering, and production teams.

You will define quality standards, lead supplier audits, PPAP and APQP activities, review control plans and FMEAs, and monitor supplier performance to meet ISO/IATF standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing) or similar technical field.
• 3–7 years in manufacturing quality or supplier quality engineering in automotive/aerospace or equivalent.
• ASQ certifications (CQE/CQA/CQM) or Lean Six Sigma Green Belt preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with suppliers to meet quality standards and specs.
• Conduct supplier audits (process, product, system) and qualify suppliers.
• Develop supplier metrics and drive improvement programs.
• Lead APQP, PPAP, and containment actions for nonconformances.
• Lead MRB and support ECN/change control activities.
