Job summary

Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing North America, Inc. Company is seeking a passionate Engineer to support Powertrain manufacturing operations.

You will apply Toyota Production System tools and lead collaborative efforts to advance engineering support and leadership within the Powertrain department. Responsibilities include mass production engineering, process improvement, and managing projects with cross-functional teams, with opportunities to test innovative solutions in a manufacturing

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or 3+ years in automotive engineering
Experience applying TPS and 5-Why methodologies
Proficiency with Microsoft Excel
Proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint
Proficiency with AutoCAD 2D/3D
Experience in leadership roles with measurable safety/quality/productivity improvements
Willingness to work flexible hours including 2nd shift occasionally, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

Mass Production Engineering support for Powertrain Assembly or Machining operations
Apply Toyota Production System tools and 5-Why problem solving to eliminate inefficiencies
Develop strong working relationships with cross-functional teams
Use data-driven analysis to improve safety, quality, productivity and cost
Manage projects by creating schedules, tracking budgets, and defining milestones
Identify and test innovative solutions in manufacturing settings and build business cases for adoption
Develop equipment procurement scopes and ensure specs are met from planning to production
