Job summary

MEDA Engineering and Technical Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Powertrain Engine OBD Calibration Engineer to support automotive client projects. Candidate must be willing to travel without restrictions from start date.

The role encompasses managing OBD calibrations to CARB standards, collaborating on system design, and delivering detailed analysis and reports with clear timing projections. Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or related field.
• 3 years of experience (recent graduates are encouraged to apply).
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Reading and understanding C code/software.

Responsibilities

• Manage all technical aspects of the OBD diagnostic calibrations to meet CARB regulations.

We are recruiting an experienced Powertrain Engine OBD Calibration Engineer to join our team to support our client in the automotive industry. NOTE: Must be willing and able to travel, without restrictions, effective on the start date

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Manage all technical aspects of the OBD diagnostic calibrations to meet CARB regulations
• Identify system requirements during system hardware design to insure a robust diagnostic system
• Use standard instrumentation toolsets for data acquisition, storage, and analysis, calibrate diagnostic thresholds to meet CARB regulations
• Provide regular overview summaries and detailed reports on specific assignments, including timing projections

REQUIRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or related field.
• 3 years of experience (recent graduates are encouraged to apply)
• Experience with MATLAB, Simulink, Reading and understanding C code/software
• Strong data analysis and problem-solving skills

PREFERRED SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

• Data acquisition experience, preferably in an automotive or powertrain-related environment
• Experience with INCA and ETAS tools
• Internship, co-op, academic project, or hands-on experience involving data collection, analysis, and reporting
• Exposure to powertrain, engine systems, diagnostics, or vehicle testing environments

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

• $31.00 - $35.00/ hour (depending on experience)
